A door closed by hand that never quite shuts
The semi-automatic door relies on a spring and rollers rather than a motor, so when the spring weakens or the rollers wear the door seems to work but never closes fully. The contact switch then does not complete its circuit, the elevator stops, and the user assumes the fault is somewhere else.
