Cabin structure and floor
A reinforced metal cabin with a floor built for repeated loading and unloading by trolley.
Cabin door and landing door
Wider doors than standard passenger doors, chosen to match the load width and opening type.
Machine and hoist
A machine with torque matched to the maximum load and the number of floors.
Threshold at each floor
The threshold between each floor and the cabin floor is levelled so trolleys cross without jolting.
Controller and floor buttons
A simplified controller with the option to restrict which floors the elevator serves.
Elevator shaft and pit depth
Shaft dimensions and pit depth are reviewed to match the chosen machine and load.

We choose with you the load rating, the cabin and door width, the machine type and whether the door opens manually or automatically, according to how you use the building.
We supply and install
We supply all the components of the freight elevator and install them in the shaft, and we set the thresholds, the machine and the controller so that everything works as one unit.
You check the result
Move the cabin between floors and check that the threshold is level at every floor and that the door opens to its full width without obstruction.

How do I know my building needs a freight elevator and not just a passenger elevator with a higher load?

If the goods are loaded on trolleys, or if they need a wider door than usual, or if the elevator runs continuously without pause, a freight elevator is the right choice. A high-load passenger elevator is designed for people, not trolleys, and its floor and doors are not built for the daily friction of loading and unloading.

What should I prepare in the building before ordering a freight elevator?

Check the dimensions of any existing shaft, identify the widest load you will carry and its height, and find out whether a pit has already been prepared. This information determines whether the existing shaft is suitable or needs enlarging, and it prevents surprises about the load rating or door width after work begins.

What should I check in a freight elevator after installation and before daily use?

Check that the threshold at every floor is exactly level with the cabin floor so that a trolley crosses without jolting. Open the door fully and close it, and confirm it reaches its end position without resistance. Move the cabin with a load close to what you will carry, listen to the machine and watch how evenly it stops at each floor.

Does the choice of freight elevator differ between a warehouse and a multi-storey commercial building?

Yes. In a warehouse the load is usually heavier and trolleys are large, so a wider door, a higher-torque machine and a reinforced floor are chosen. In a commercial building the load may be lighter but the number of trips is higher, which affects the machine and controller choice. The pattern of use sets the specification, not just the building name.

Can a freight elevator be used to carry people as well?

Freight elevators are designed primarily for loads rather than passengers, and the cabin finish and safety requirements differ from those of a passenger elevator. Some buildings need a combined elevator specified for both uses from the start, because changing the classification later requires a review of components and requirements with the competent authority.
